Wow .. its been a while since I have posted in here!
A lot has changed.
We moved to a new town and Quinn is now being homeschooled!
He is growing fast!
He is getting better about eating foods but still won't touch veggies!
He knows a lot about God.
Hopefully I can keep up posting.

Quinnism for today:
As we were taking Quinn to school Rick blew his nose into a hankie. I said that is gross and I'm not washing that thing you can just throw it away( don't judge me). 
Quinn in the back seat starts grossing out saying- "Daddy that is so disgusting how could you do that?" then he says : "you just wait until we get home Daddy we are going to go upstairs and have a talk about what you just did!"
OMG..... i could not contain my laughter!

So Quinn did not pass kindergarten. But he is doing just fine this year.
he has become very much a little boy and not as babyish.
He still is very picky about food. Some days he drives me to the brink of crazy and other days he is just delicious!

Quinn: "Mommy God has a big stick that he just moves stuff around just like a video game to Him. And He has magical hands that make the season's. Did you read that in your Bible?" 
Me: "No but I believe that's probably right."
Quinn: "Yeah it is. Maybe you skipped that page."

Quinn kindergarten picture. He is not doing well in school. He takes 5 times longer to learn things than the other kids. They want me to take him to the doctor to have him evaluated. I think he is perfect. He is very spoiled. I'm pretty sure he may have attention deficit but it doesn't matter to me. I may remove him from kindergarten and try again next year.

Quinn loves Star Wars and Lego's.

Registered Quinn for kindergarten today.Hard to believe he is 5 yrs old already.
He is growing by leaps and bounds.

He is in speech therapy 2 times a week. He has a hard time saying letters at the front of his mouth ie 't' 'l' 'd' ..he also has problems with paired letters such as 'sp' 'sl' and others.

He has a small fear of climbing... not sure why!
He is friendly, happy and very funny!
He likes to give kisses and hugs. Especially wet kisses. He thinks that is very funny.
He LOVES to tell jokes.
He loves robots and building things. He also likes super heroes.
He is still very picky with food. I think he will grow out of that.

I'm telling you. Through all the crap Quinn gives us and all the times im exhausted.....today was the coolest day ever... he was sooo into christmas. he loved his castle and daddy actually had to go ask to play with him and be part of it... very great day today! 
He was asleep by 7 tonight... :)

Quinn has started coming up to me and daddy and hugging us at the same time and saying "group hug"
it was a great christmas
its all been worth it!

every time i have to go through quinns clothes and get rid of the ones that are too small it makes me sad and happy. i remember days when he wore this or that.... the pajama top the neighbor gave me when he was 6 months old...it was huge...and now..its too small.... he wore it a lot ... his mickey mouse shirts....his winnie the pooh...they have gone to the side in favor of super heroes....his big boy undies that are now way too small.... his socks that i bought at a garage sale.... there were so many of them i didnt need socks for a long time..now...they are all too small...
i pick each item up and smell it and hold it close and remember the things he did when he wore them....
i tell quinn...mama misses her baby...but...im very glad you are becoming a big boy...and...it makes me cry. i know that he will never be this little again. i know that i will miss the little boy voice, the mispronunciation of his words.... the potty chair, the high chair,
and i think with anticipation and fear of the things he will learn, the boy he will become and the man he will be, ....
i hope that he will always flash that great smile with twinkling eyes in his special way just for mama...
he is our future and i pray that i am doing a good job teaching him to love God, people and the earth and all the living things here. To respect himself and, in turn, he will respect others.
i hope that he will live his life with joy and happiness and security.

i get all of this just from sorting my sons clothes as he grows..... :)

Well. at 4 yrs 5 months Quinn is doing great.
I'm a bit concerned because he holds his pencil by the very end (not down by where he is writing but at the far end). He is very stubborn and won't let anyone show him the correct way. Also he holds scissors with 2 hands.
He can recognize a lot of letters and makes them out of different things (ie straws).
His speech is very hard to understand.

He is incredibly cute and very silly. He likes to tell jokes and play jokes on people.
He moves all the time.
He is very picky about food.
He weighs 40 pounds and is 42 inches tall.

awww Quinn said his prayer for supper and he said 
"Thank you for everybody in the world..and Tobias and Cece and all their kids and Marilyn and Angelica....and Jesus. Amen"

Me: "Look at that boy Daddy....just look at him. Can you believe he is ours?" 
Daddy just smiles. 
Me: "Quinn are you really ours?"
Quinn: "MmHm."
Me: "Were you looking down from Heaven saying you wanted to be our boy?"
Quinn: " Mmm Hmm...I missed you."


That made me cry. 

Me: "We missed you too son. We really did."

Quinn: "When I'm done with my chips I'll be done eating my food - but I didn't eat my yogurt (its actually applesauce?) yet."
Me: " Why don't want to eat the yogurt?"
Quinn: "Because I said so."
Me: "Ok. But why did you say so? "
Quinn: "Because I SAID SO."
Me: " I know but why did you say so? Don't you like it? "
Quinn: "No I don't like it."
Me: "Why don't you like it?"
Quinn: " BECAUSE I SAID SO."
Me: "But WHY did you say so? What's wrong with it?"
Quinn: "Because it's too tight."
Me: "What do you mean it's too tight? Why don't you want to eat it?"
Quinn: "Because it's too tight - I TOLD you."
Me: "But what do you mean?"
Quinn: "It's too bumpy. "

Quinn: "Do you have a secret to tell me? "
Me whispering: "I love you."
Quinn: "Another one!"
Me: "You're cute!"
Quinn: "Another one."
Me: "Do you like secrets?"
Quinn: "Secrets are pretty awesome - but I don't really care for them."

LOL

Me: "What's your favorite color?"
Quinn: "All the colors."
Me: "What's your favorite number?"
Quinn: "12."
Me: "What's your favorite animal?"
Quinn: "Lion."
Me: "Who is your favorite person to play with?"
Quinn: "Brian." (Jes Anthony Weiss's little boy)
Me: "What's your favorite toy?"
Quinn: "The toys in aunt Cathy's sandbox."
Me: "What is your favorite pet?"
Quinn: "A dragon."

Quinn at 3yrs 11 months and 20 days weighed 35.8 pounds and was 42 inches tall!

The other day I asked Rick why he was giving me a dirty look.
Today when I went to the store a car went past us in the parking lot and Quinn said "Dat guy sure was giving me dirty yook!"
Then when we were at the check out Quinn said to the cashier "You sure are givin me a yot of dirty yooks...why you keep giving me dirty yooks"
LOL.....

Quinn is very interested in how words got their meanings. He is full of questions.
He is so smart and cute. :)

If you ask Quinn if he is cute he says "NOoooooo. I'm gorgeous!"

Yes he is!

So yesterday i was driving around and Quinn says "Mommy are we in the forest? Its dark and scary- are we in the dark and scary forest?" I said "Yes we're in the Maumee forest." To which he says " WE ARE??? WE'RE IN THE MUMMY FOREST???"

I said " NO! We are in the Maumee forest." He says "MUMMY FOREST??" I said "Noooo Mau Mee. Like Mawww meeee. " He says "Oh were in the Mommy forest??" I said " No Quinn. Its Oak Openings Park."

Happy Easter Sweetie boy!

Quinn: "Mommy said when I grow up I will stay Quinn."

Me: "Do you wanna be someone else when you grow up?"

Quinn: " Uh huh."

Me: "Who do you wanna be?"

Quinn: "A super hero."

awww just heard quinn tell daddy "knock knock? daddy said who's there quinn said "olive" daddy said "olive who?" quinn said "OLIVE YOU.... dat what mommy always does to me!"

the other morning i was trying to get the phone working and i said the word piss. Quinn said "Mommy, I know how much you like your car and if you don't stop saying those bad words we are going to have to take your car away from you!"

Quinn came running to me and said " Look Mommy! Santa Claus covered the ground in glitter! That's pretty cool huh Mommy?"
Looking out the bedroom window it looks just like the ground is covered in gold glitter!
It was very cool!
